“Beauty is not in the face; Beauty is a light in the heart.”
– Kahlil Gibran
Mary-Sue Morris is a designer with more than 15 years’ experience in the make-up and costume field specifically in the areas of film, fashion, advertising, TV series and more. As film is her greatest passion, she loves the freedom and trust that a director gives her when she creates new characters: “This person trusts your expertise so much that they’ll allow you to invest 100%, thus delivering the best possible results for that specific production.”
As a born creative, you can’t fit anything Mary-Sue has to offer in a box, as every new project is a challenge, adventure and journey!
“Being able to live my talents, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some of the most amazing productions, and have travelled to some of the most spectacular places... and with every new journey I shed a little bit of the old and embrace the new, which is simply a better, more in-tune version of the person I was born to be.”
Some of Mary-Sue’s projects include, Pad na jou Hart (costume designer), Vir Altyd (make-up and SFX designer), Stroomop (costume designer), Child and the White Lion (make-up designer), Nul is nie niks nie (make-up and SFX designer), Meerkat Maantuig (costume, make- up, SFX, hair designer), The Lullaby (costume, make-up, SFX, hair designer), Ballade vir ’n Enkeling (make-up and hair designer), Vir die Voëls (make-up and hair designer).
